Kenney Orthopedics is committed to providing quality orthopedic and prosthetic related products and services to our patients in a timely and courteous manner. In order to achieve that mission, we strive to hire individuals with a passion for patient care who will go above and beyond the call of duty. We take pride in fostering a family-oriented environment where respect and teamwork are of the utmost importance.
Kenney Orthopedics offers a well-rounded, comprehensive, patient centered residency that allows residents to develop their clinical skills while under the supervision of a NCOPE certified mentor/director. We strive to provide a learning experience that allows our residents to improve their hand skills and become better critical thinkers. Residents are not limited to interventions but are encouraged to research new technology such as MPKs, various socket interfaces, or myoelectric options that will provide the most benefit to their patient. Patient satisfaction is our number one priority. KO also provides the opportunity to give back to the community with programs such as the amputee walking school.
Residents are exposed to different patient populations in a variety of environments from in office visits to skilled nursing facilities and hospitals. KO offers an exceptional learning environment with 11 offices with over 15 practitioners. Although some offices only have 1 or 2 practitioners, we still function as a team. Opportunities for collaboration present themselves often and residents learn from each other at our practitioner and residency meetings. Approaching patient care as an interdisciplinary team best meets the needs of our patients, so developing relationships with nurses, therapists, and physicians is crucial to provide optimal care.
Residents are also exposed to administration and billing procedures and are educated on proper use of L-codes. A billing binder is provided to residents to assist in billing procedures and all L-codes are approved by your residency mentor/director prior to billing to ensure these are properly completed. This provides a well-rounded experience to prepare the resident to become an excellent practitioner!
