Meet the Practitioners

Gary A. King, CPO

Gary A. King CPO first learned of the Orthotics and Prosthetics

profession when he was injured in a farming accident in 1992, losing his R

leg above the knee and suffering extensive soft tissue damage to his L lower

extremity. Gary wears a knee ankle foot orthosis (KAFO) on his left leg and

an above knee prosthesis on his right leg and likes to say that he is equally

indebted to both the Orthotic and Prosthetic profession every day that he

continues to work and walk independently. Gary attended the Northwestern

University Orthotic and Prosthetics programs at the Feinberg School of

Medicine in Chicago, IL. Continuing his commitment to civic responsibility,

he is now a volunteer board member of the Kentucky Orthotic and

Prosthetic Association (KOPA), and has forwarded the issues of licensure

and insurance parity for all in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Gary is a

member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP)

and is pursuing fellowship. Gary strives to excel at passionate patient care

and is committed to providing the best service possible to his patients.
