John M. Kenney, CPO, FAAOP
John “Mo” Kenney is an ABC certified Prosthetist/Orthotist with over 20 years of clinical experience. He has extensive knowledge and training in anatomy and biomechanics. Mo entered the O&P by accident – literally. “My leg had to be amputated after an accident when I was 7 years old. The whole process of getting a leg fascinated me. I want to use my knowledge and personal experience to help my patients achieve their greatest potential.” Mo is certified in fitting the C-Leg, a microprocessor-Controlled Knee-Shin System for Transfemoral Amputees. He’s also completed the Otto Bock Harmony Course, the Otto Bock Upper Extremity Hybrid Course, Mas Socket and Proprio Foot. Mo is a member of the Continuing Education Committee for the American Board for Certification (ABC). He has been an examiner for both Prosthetics and Orthotics for ABC since 1996. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetics. He is a member of the board of Directors for ABC and is the past President of the Kentucky Society of Orthotics and Prosthetics. For the past 11 years, Mo has been part of a humanitarian effort involving an elite group of American Prosthetists who visit Queretaro, Mexico. They’ve helped to build a fully equipped clinic and have recently helped to adopt and administer Mexico’s first ever prosthetics certification exam. Mo is currently working on building a similar clinic in Ukraine. |
